Why talk, when you can listen?

"Rise Against" brings reality and emotion into a amazing song called "Hero of War". Throughout the entire video they go back and forth between being in the hardships of war and the artist playing his acoustic guitar. The acoustic brings sadness to the pictures of war and fighting. The monotone colour palletes also contribute to war being a sad picture. In this video, war is shown well by the killing and death bring sadness to the viewer.

The song is classified as Rock/Pop, but the video as well as the melody and lyrics don't truly give off Rock/Pop. The only reason I believe that this song is classified as Rock/Pop is because of other songs Rise Against does.

There are many values that are in this video. Whether they are true or not they are put in plain sight. The video shows a solider having a hard time being in war, suggesting that war is always hard to cope with. They also talk about how the solider came home and ended up killing because he could not bare the stress in what he has seen.

This video could appeal to teenagers in a plethora of different ways. The melody and rhythm could appeal to a teenager or maybe they have a relative in the war and with this song they can have some knowledge of what it real is like in war. "Hero of War" along with other Rise Against songs may give someone the need of emotion that they are looking for.

Overall I would have to say whether if you are looking for a well put together video and song, or just wanting a enjoyable song to listen to "Hero of War by Rise Against" is a good music video for you.
